From November 2021, to now, it’s been a long time coming.
So What’s my plan now?
January 2022
As a Marketing Intern at a tech company offering revenue enablement services to sales and marketing teams, I learned how to essentialize a complicated product into digestible value propositions for clients and internal departments at the company.
Learning curve = tackled.
I found that I was most energized and fulfilled in roles where I served as a sociable and agile Swiss-army knife. No two days were the same, and I adored it.
I worked alongside creative, strategic, and technology teams building relationships with industry partners to implement marketing activations, monitoring and optimizing campaign performance, and working alongside product marketers to position Klue as the solution needed to solve the intricate needs of our customers.
SEPTEMBER 2022
Working in client-facing consulting roles provided me with a fresh perspective on what I am looking for in a career. I want to inform client decisions from ideation to execution, taking accountability for my successes and learnings at every step of the way.
I found that like consulting, life is a sales pitch.
Whether it be of oneself, a project direction, or a creative vision. Sales is an intrinsic element of what it means to be a human being, and I wanted to cultivate this life skill.
As a psychology graduate with digital performance marketing and account management experience, I possess an entrepreneurial skill set that marries elements of creative consulting and client-facing, strategic sales. I am passionate about utilizing my humanistic perspective, experience-derived intuition, and data analysis skills to mitigate business risks and push clients’ creative agendas in dynamic environments. As a detail-oriented innovator, I am excited about leveraging my multitasking ability, hunger to excel beyond expectations, and cross-functional leadership skills to facilitate seamless communication and efficient project execution.
PRESENT
November 2021
After nearly two years of digital learning brought on by the pandemic, I yearned for steeper learning curves and interactive social experiences that could expand my world beyond Queen’s University.
I was curious about what my life could look like beyond my education, leading me to Klue as I took an eight-month hiatus from school.
March 2022
During my co-op, I was eager to maintain on-campus involvement in initiatives that I was passionate about. Klue allowed me to explore my interests in demand generation, event marketing, project management, and more.
The experience also allowed me to understand the workplace dynamics I thrive in, and what features of a job would allow me to excel in any role. Some things I knew for sure:
Social environments fuel, not deplete, me.
I am passionate about narrative-building.
I am eager to expose myself to any new experience to soak up knowledge like a sponge.
I applied these learnings and joined Smith Marketing Consulting and Queen’s Startup Consulting in an effort to find my niche. Informed by my background in psychology, I utilized humanistic approaches to collaborate with clients, resolved complex business issues, and maintained healthy interpersonal relationships among other consultants.
JUNE 2023
I supported enterprise clients across four industries to help clients build paid and organic presence through inventive activations on TikTok. As I immersed myself in contrasting verticals, I quickly adapted to understand the priorities, concerns, and socioeconomic factors that impacted business operations in these fields. Likewise, I collaborated with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ideate, pitch, and execute campaigns with TikTok’s advertising solutions. I prioritized end-to-end project management and gained a comprehensive understanding of how different departments within an organization collaborate to deliver client projects on time and within budget.

She was an immediate standout amongst the intern crop based on her eagerness to excel in her role and the ability to go above and beyond on every project that come across their plate. Throughout this period, Anna exceed all expectations of her roles and responsibilities and became an integral part of the TikTok sales team by leading pitches, TikTok educational sessions and developing test and learn agendas for clients (something we rarely see interns capable of doing).
